Festival of istrian cuisine
Istria is famous for its gastronomy. The food and beverages are even better when consumed in typical environment, in an istrian “konoba”.
The most famous dishes of green Istria are Istrian prosciutto, Istrian truffles, maneštra, boškarin, fuži, pljukanci, ravioli, gnocchi, zgvacet, fritaia, wild asparagus, ombolo, sausages and sauerkraut, chirpnja, Istrian soup, fritters, kroštula.
The most famous dishes of blue Istria are brodet, buzara, black cuttlefish risotto, Adriatic squid, sardines, sole fish, sea bream, sea bream, sea bass, crabs, shrimps, scallops, oysters.
